    Vertical Boxless Molding Line Sand Processing System

     

    The clay-sand sand treatment system is primarily used for reclaiming old sand and preparing molding sand in applications such as static-pressure molding automatic lines, vertical-parting boxless molding automatic lines, and horizontal-parting molding lines. Depending on the specifications of the molding line and the amount of molding sand required, the system offers various processing capacities, including 30 t/h, 40 t/h, 60 t/h, 80 t/h, 100 t/h, 120 t/h, 150 t/h, 200 t/h, and 300 t/h.

    The sand handling system mainly consists of sand dropping, screening and cooling, used sand storage, sand mixing unit, lifting and conveying system, dust removal system, and electrical control system.

     

     

    The sand-releasing system, depending on the casting structure, can employ either a vibrating sand-releasing machine or a sand-releasing and cooling drum to complete the sand-releasing and pre-cleaning/cooling processes for castings.

    The screening and cooling unit includes a fine hexagonal screen, a fluidized cooling machine (drum cooling), and an automatic temperature- and humidity-control system. A dual-disc mixing cooler can be optionally used to cool spent sand and pre-mix it, thereby enhancing sand-mixing efficiency and improving the quality of molding sand.

    The sand-mixing unit includes a sand mixer, an automatic feeding system, and a quantitative feeding and water-addition system. The on-line mold-sand tester measures the mold-sand compaction ratio and wet compressive strength, automatically calculates and controls the amount of water added, and adjusts the clay dosage accordingly.

    The electrical control system adopts an imported PLC for centralized control, enabling fully automatic or segmented operation of the entire line. A simulated display screen shows the operational status of the entire line.

    High-efficiency, high-power rotor sand mixer: The mixer’s chassis rotates together with the drum, while two rotors are positioned—one near the side wall and the other near the center. As the material is carried around by the high-speed rotating rotors, a negative pressure is created, inducing vertical motion. This direct energy input into the material, combined with the rotation of the chassis, ensures that the sand moves thoroughly and without any dead zones, resulting in high mixing efficiency and low energy consumption. The two rotors feature different numbers of blade layers, blade lengths, and installation orientations, enabling more thorough and uniform mixing and kneading of the sand. Consequently, the molding sand exhibits excellent looseness, high strength, and stable quality. Each unit has a mixing capacity ranging from 30 to 120 tons per hour and can be used either individually or in combination with multiple units. It represents an advanced sand-mixing equipment suitable for today’s highly efficient automatic molding lines.
