The Baozhu Heavy-Duty Robot Has Passed the Expert Panel Review.

Baoding WeLL Foundry Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "WeLL")’s domestically first long-arm heavy-duty robot designed for special operating conditions, developed for Shandong QianNeng Company, passed the expert panel review on November 28.

The Qianeng project features two heavy-duty (1.5-ton) robots with long arms (6 meters) designed for picking up and stacking castings. Originally, the customer had planned to import these robots from abroad. However, thanks to Baozhu’s robust technological reserves and strong manufacturing capabilities, the customer ultimately changed their mind and entrusted the entire production to Baozhu.

Under the leadership of General Hou, the casting team—led by the engineering and technical team—fully drew on the strengths of similar products from countries such as the UK, the U.S., and Japan, while carefully avoiding their shortcomings. Combining this with China’s actual conditions, they innovatively designed a heavy-duty, long-arm robot that boasts completely independent intellectual property rights and is tailored for special operating conditions, thereby filling a domestic gap in this product category.

At the review meeting, the expert panel fully endorsed the technical solution, control features, performance indicators, computer-based dynamic simulations, and many other aspects. They concluded that this product incorporates numerous cutting-edge technological advancements of today, meets the needs of Chinese enterprises as they undergo transformation and upgrading, and will elevate China’s casting machinery manufacturing capabilities to a new level.
