    Replacing the sand dropping machine and the sand-dropping cleaning roller

    The first domestically produced “Zhen Gu” has passed appraisal and acceptance.

    The first domestically produced “vibration drum,” developed under the guidance of renowned industry professors and manufactured by Baoding Weier Casting Machinery Co., Ltd., and featuring independent intellectual property rights, recently passed the assessment by a panel of experts and has also been accepted by Japanese users.

    Currently, the various types of sand-drop machines and sand-cleaning drums used on automated clay-sand molding lines all have, to varying degrees, certain drawbacks, such as high noise levels, damage to castings from impacts, poor cleaning performance on castings, inconvenient dust removal, and high energy consumption, among others. The adoption of the “vibration drum” precisely addresses these shortcomings. Previously, all vibration drums used on domestic production lines were imported from developed countries. Due to the equipment’s unique structure and complex manufacturing requirements, domestic production of such equipment has yet to be established.

    With technical support from a renowned professor in the industry, Baoding Weier Casting Machinery Co., Ltd. spent one year successfully developing this equipment. The first unit was sold along with the production line to a Japanese-funded enterprise.

    1. The operational characteristics of “Zhen Gu”
    1. The casting is wrapped in sand and advances spirally within the cylinder, ensuring that the casting is not damaged by impacts or collisions.
    2. The casting is wrapped in sand and advanced spirally within the cylinder at a speed of 750 millimeters per minute, without being exposed to the air. This moderate cooling rate helps achieve the desired material properties.
    3. Moistening treatment of molding sand by spraying water can be conveniently implemented;
    4. The amount of vibration applied to the castings and molding sand inside the cylinder can reach up to 40% of the cylinder’s volume; the molding sand exhibits excellent disintegration and uniformity.
    5. The cylinder has good sealing performance and excellent dust removal efficiency.
    6. A harbor-type sand-releasing structure is adopted at the exit to further extend the casting’s residence time within the vibration drum.
    7. A ladder-shaped grid plate is used to achieve better separation between the castings and the molding sand.
    8. Employs dual-mass sub-near-resonance vibration technology, which is highly energy-efficient.
    9. All springs are fastened with bolts, resulting in relatively low operating noise.
    10. The equipment can be placed directly on the ground, resulting in minimal impact on the foundation, low foundation costs, and convenient maintenance.

    The Kazakhstan project has begun shipping.

    Since last year, Kazakhstan’s FORMAT Company has placed orders with our company for six production lines in succession, with a total contract value exceeding 100 million yuan. The first order included a static-pressure line and its accompanying sand-processing line, both of which have now been completed. Recently, the user’s expert team successfully completed the factory acceptance testing and is about to ship the equipment.
